Are you a qualified Infusion Nurse who is interested in working in the Clinical Research Industry?

We are currently looking to recruit an Infusion Nurse for our site in Cardiff.

Our Wales clinical site was established 13 Years ago and operates from Cardiff Business Park, easily Accessible by train, bus and car.

We pride ourselves on being the “Patients choice for clinical research” and our Nursing teams are directly involved with ensuring a continuity of care for patients during the studies.

Working Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week, an Infusion Nurse will assist with study related duties, patient visits, infusions, and documentation related to clinical trials across a wide and diverse range of therapeutic areas.

Key roles and responsibilities of an Infusion Nurse are as follows -

  • Administers investigation product.
  • Monitors patient and ensures patient safety.
  • Attends meetings and relays pertinent information to Infusion Team members in a timely manner.
  • Maintains timely source documentation as well as sponsor required information.
  • Completes all monitor and sponsor queries within a timely manner.
  • Assess patient’s tolerance to IP, ensuring the absence of infusion reactions.
  • Ensures adherence to COP’s, SOP’s and GCP (ICH GCP and local regulations).

To be considered for an Infusion Nurse you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Registration with no limitations to practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (Adult)
  • Experience in the administration of medications and fluids through an intravenous (IV) line, central line, or venous access port
  • Trained and competent in canulation
  • Ability to recognise anaphylactic shock
  • A team player with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • A patient focussed attitude
