Synexus database - In excess of 450,000 patients
Each recruitment method allows Synexus to engage with tens of thousands of individuals who have expressed an interest in joining a clinical trial. All responses are added to the Synexus database, which is rigourously qualified and maintained, and includes a significant pool of patients (in excess of 450,000) who have already consented to be on a trial. This allows Synexus to perform detailed searches to quickly identify potential patients for new trials.

Direct mail, advertising and editorials
Synexus recognises the value and effectiveness of direct-to-consumer marketing. The concept of the ‘empowered patient', and the notion that people are taking more control of their own health has not gone unnoticed.
Synexus works hard to communicate with the public, providing both general and study specific information regarding the benefits of clinical trials. Advertising can be limited in message space and therefore Synexus will often include advertorials, direct mail and editorial elements to a campaign to allow for a more comprehensive explanation and more detailed messaging.
Patient and professional organisations
Synexus recognises that it is vital to build and maintain strong relationships with professional and patient groups to help disseminate important information about clinical trials. A significant and positive outcome of developing these relationships is that the groups will often encourage patients to take part in clinical trials, and in some instances, will advocate a particular trial.
Satellite Outreach
In South Africa and India, investigators visit township clinics to discuss clinical trials with walk-in patients, this ensures that information is circulated to as wide a target audience as possible, and gives potential patients the opportunity to understand more about the clinical trial process and the potential benefits for them.
