Synexus opens new clinical trial site in Bulgaria

25 Feb 2009
Synexus continues to expand its presence in Bulgaria with the opening of a clinical trial site at the St Anne Hospital in Sofia.
Synexus who is a world leader in the recruitment of patients for clinical trials at its own sites, has had a presence in Bulgaria since 2007.

Michael Fort Chief Executive of Synexus commented, "We are continuing to expand across Eastern Europe and this is the next chapter of our expansion.  What is so exciting about this development is that we can not only carry out clinical trials for our clients in primary care but we can also undertake selected secondary care trials.  We are working with a number of leading specialists in CNS and are looking to expand into other secondary therapeutic areas.

Synexus through its network of wholly owned sites staffed by full time GCP trained investigators is able to carry out the whole of a phase II trial or provide thousands of patients to a phase III trial.  In phase II Synexus can carry out the entire study thereby reducing times dramatically as well as costs.

Synexus has clinical trial centres in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, South Africa and India.
