Sanet Aspinall, Managing Director Synexus South Africa

Dr Sanet Aspinall joined Synexus in 2007 when Synexus acquired Clinical Research Centres SA - which she had founded and run since 2000. Sanet has extensive experience in clinical research and the management of clinical research units. Sanet began her career at the Medical University of Southern Africa and later became Director of Research and Post-Graduate Studies. She also served as a member of the South African Medicine Control Council (1998-2000). Sanet also runs the AddClin Research Phase I unit which is a partnership between Synexus and Adcock Ingram.

Angela Harnick, Head of UK Operations

Angela Harnick joined Synexus in 1998 and, during that time, has gained considerable clinical trial experience through her role as Site and Regional Site Director. This ‘coal face' experience enables Angela to bring a wealth of valuable knowledge to her role as Head of UK Operations which encompasses Synexus' seven UK Dedicated Research Centres.

Kirsty Mackay, Vice President International Projects

Kirsty Mackay joined Synexus in August 2009 from AstraZeneca where she provided skilled management expertise to the oncology translational medicine and drug teams. She has significant clinical research expertise which has been gained from working in the CRO, academic and pharma environments as well Synexus' unique Dedicated Research Centre (DRC) model. At Synexus Kirsty is responsible for leading the Projects Team which is responsible for delivering local and global projects across the business.

Helena Sigal, Synexus' Head of Operations, Germany

Helena Sigal joined Synexus in 2009 following the acquisition of ClinPharm and assumed the role of Head of Operations for Germany. She was previously Director Clinical Operations for ClinPharm. Helena has extensive clinical trial experience having been a Principal Investigator at ClinPharm before assuming the role of Director of Clinical Operations. During her time at ClinPharm she was also responsible for the site management of 12 sites across Europe and speaks fluent Russian, Ukranian, German and English. Helena also has significant experience of the pharmaceutical industry having worked with leading organisations including GSK, Rathipharm international and Berlin-Chemie.

Dr Radoslaw Janiak, Synexus' Country Manager, Poland

Dr Radoslaw Janiak joined Synexus in 2006 following its acquisition of CLCC and became Country Manager, responsible for four Sites in Poland, in 2009. Radoslaw has over ten years’ experience in the clinical trials sector in Poland with particular expertise in oncology, osteoporosis and cardiology. He is influential in raising the profile of the clinical trials sector in his home country and organised the first ‘Importance of Clinical Trials in Medicine’ conference to take place in Poland, in December 2009.
